Overview
The Worm Gear Operated Fixed Ball Valve is engineered for precision control in high-pressure and high-flow applications. Its robust design ensures reliable performance and durability. The worm gear mechanism provides smooth, precise operation and enhances torque control, making it ideal for critical service environments. The fixed ball design minimizes leakage and maximizes flow efficiency. Perfect for industries requiring stringent flow regulation and long-term reliability.
Features of Worm Gear Operated Fixed Ball Valve
- Effortless Operation: The ball is supported by upper and lower bearings, reducing friction and eliminating excessive torque caused by the high sealing load from the inlet pressure pushing the ball against the seal.
- Reliable Sealing Performance: The PTFE sealing ring is embedded in a stainless steel valve seat, and a spring is installed at the end of the metal valve seat to ensure sufficient preload on the sealing ring. When the sealing surface wears during operation, the spring ensures that the valve maintains a good seal.
- Fireproof Structure: To prevent major leaks that could exacerbate fires due to sudden heat or fire causing the PTFE sealing ring to burn, a fireproof sealing ring is installed between the ball and the valve seat. If the sealing ring is damaged by fire, the spring force quickly pushes the valve seat sealing ring toward the ball, creating a metal-to-metal seal that offers a certain degree of sealing. The fire resistance test meets API 6FA and API 607 standards.
- Automatic Pressure Relief Function: If the pressure of the medium stagnating in the valve chamber rises abnormally and exceeds the preload of the spring, the valve seat will retract away from the ball, achieving automatic pressure relief. Once the pressure is relieved, the valve seat automatically resets.
- Drainage Pipeline: The valve body is equipped with drain holes at both the top and bottom, allowing for inspection of possible valve seat leakage. While in full open or full close positions, the valve’s cavity pressure can be discharged, allowing for direct packing replacement. This also enables the release of residue from the cavity, reducing contamination of the valve by the medium.
